Vlasic Classic Golf Tournament
Vlasic Labs CEO Willy Vlasic launched the Vlasic Classic Charity Golf Tournament in 2023 first in the Missouri Ozarks and then expanded to Michigan in 2024 to support the Last Prisoner Project. In 2025, the Michigan event also raised funds for Freedom Grow and the tournament expanded again to Las Vegas, where we supported Mission Green, Forgotten Prisoner and the Great Lakes Expungement Network.
In 2026, due to the tremendous growth and interest, we formed the Vlasic Classic Foundation to better serve our partner charities moving forward.
Freedom Grow is an all volunteer effort to help cannabis prisoners regain freedom while we support their sacrifices with commissary money, prison outreach, and public education.
The Last Prisoner Project fights for non-violent cannabis prisoners who were wrongfully incarcerated during the war on drugs. Many people remain in the prison system for cannabis related offenses despite the wide spread legalization we have seen in recent years.
Through extensive partnerships throughout the legal cannabis industry, THE WELDON PROJECT launched the MISSION [GREEN] initiative to offer unique ways for cannabis businesses and consumers to participate in a nationwide campaign that provides relief for those negatively impacted by prohibition and raises the bar for awareness, social justice, and social equity.
THE WELDON PROJECT is a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding social change and providing financial aid for those who are serving prison time for non-violent cannabis-related offenses. The MISSION [GREEN] initiative supports those who have been unjustly imprisoned for marijuana.
With over $125,000 raised so far, Vlasic Labs has helped prisoners in numerous ways from lobbying in at Capitol Hill to hiring attorneys for prisoners to funding commissary to support prisoners' families.

About The Vlasic Family
The Vlasic family has a long history of improving the lives of American consumers. Prior to World War II, Joseph Vlasic streamlined milk distribution in the Midwest, bringing bottles off of hot porches and into grocery stores. Joseph and his son, Robert, then expanded their business to satisfy the nation's need for high-quality, affordable pickles, ultimately becoming the biggest pickle brand in the world.
Robert Vlasic not only took the pickle company to new heights, but also donated much of his wealth and time to the Henry Ford Health System, the Michigan Humane Society, and the University of Michigan.
From an early age, Rick Vlasic was taught the values of innovation and hard work by his father and grandfather. During the personal computer boom in the early 80's, Rick helped the Big 3 auto companies enter the digital age and subsequently offering countless e-learning and in-person training courses including in healthcare and safety.
This passion for wellness naturally led Rick and his son, Willy, to found Vlasic Labs. The Vlasic entrepreneurial spirit has been inherited by Willy and his brother Jack, and together they lead Vlasic Labs to live by the same values as their predecessors' companies: value, quality, and giving back.
