Vlasic Classic Golf Tournament

The Vlasic Classic Golf Tournament is a national charity golf series raising money and awareness for non-violent cannabis prisoners working to come home and rebuild their lives.
We bring players, sponsors, and advocates together around a clear mission: supporting freedom, dignity, and second chances. Each event helps fund meaningful charitable efforts while shining a light on prisoners and families who need urgent support.

Helping Bring Jarred Shaw Home
In partnership with Forgotten Prisoner
The Vlasic Classic Foundation is committed to helping non-violent cannabis prisoners get out and reacclimatized one prisoner at a time. This year’s featured cause spotlight is Jarred Shaw. American basketball player, Jarred Shaw, was sentenced to death row in Indonesia over $400 in gummies he was using to treat his Crohn's disease. Thanks to Forgotten Prisoner's work and generous donations, his sentence was reduced to 26 months, but there is still work to do. Suffering from internal bleeding, infections, and Crohn's in a third-world prison, he might not make it home alive.
The Vlasic Classic is helping raise awareness and support for Jarred as we are pushing for his deportation so he can return home to the US to receive proper medical care.

Why the Vlasic Classic Exists
A golf tournament built around a cause that matters.
The Vlasic Classic was created to support non-violent cannabis prisoners and the organizations working to help bring them home. Through fundraising, awareness, and strategic partnerships, the tournament supports efforts tied to legal advocacy, prisoner support, family relief, and long-term reentry.
This is more than a day on the course. It is a growing platform for compassion, visibility, and action.

About The Vlasic Family
The Vlasic family has a long history of improving the lives of American consumers. Prior to World War II, Joseph Vlasic streamlined milk distribution in the Midwest, bringing bottles off of hot porches and into grocery stores. Joseph and his son, Robert, then expanded their business to satisfy the nation's need for high-quality, affordable pickles, ultimately becoming the biggest pickle brand in the world.
Robert Vlasic not only took the pickle company to new heights, but also donated much of his wealth and time to the Henry Ford Health System, the Michigan Humane Society, and the University of Michigan.
From an early age, Rick Vlasic was taught the values of innovation and hard work by his father and grandfather. During the personal computer boom in the early 80's, Rick helped the Big 3 auto companies enter the digital age and subsequently offering countless e-learning and in-person training courses including in healthcare and safety.
This passion for wellness naturally led Rick and his son, Willy, to found Vlasic Labs. The Vlasic entrepreneurial spirit has been inherited by Willy and his brother Jack, and together they lead Vlasic Labs to live by the same values as their predecessors' companies: value, quality, and giving back.
About Vlasic Labs
At Vlasic Labs, we are committed to giving back to the community. The Vlasic Classic is the cornerstone of our charitable efforts. Now throwing our 7th, 8th, and 9th golf tournaments this year, we are very excited to continue supporting the release and reentry of wrongly incarcerated cannabis victims.
Our 501c3, The Vlasic Classic Foundation, is actively supporting Jarred Shaw through the Forgotten Prisoner via media efforts and donations from our golf tournament, along with other notable causes. We have also donated cannabinoids to research universities including the Institute of Cannabis Research at Colorado State University-Pueblo to support the study of these compounds and their potential benefits.
